Ukrainian jewellery brands were presented at the world-famous jewellery trade show GemGeneve, which will take place in Geneva on November 3-6, 2022. The exhibition was initiated by the Strong & Precious project that aims to popularise Ukrainian jewellery brands on the international stage.

The antique jewels by the most famous Ukrainian jeweller of the 20th century, Joseph Marchak, were also exhibited alongside contemporary creations. While being the main competitor to Faberge, Marchak got the nickname "the Cartier of Kyiv." Now his jewels hold a special place in private collections and auction houses.

This is the second time the Ukrainian jewelry brands were present at GemGeneve. The first Ukrainian exhibition was held in May 2022 and was a great success.

"The popularisation of Ukrainian culture – cinema, art, music, literature or jewellery – is our duty today. We want to be recognised and seen through the prism of our truly bright cultural tradition. Our first exhibition was a real success, and I have no doubts that this time too demanding and professional visitors will appreciate our jewellery artists" – Olga Oleksenko, curator of the Strong & Precious project, jewellery expert, collector.

Gem Geneve May 2022

The main idea behind the Strong & Precious project was to tell the international community about Ukrainian jewelry brands. The project's name speaks for itself: now, more than ever, Ukrainian jewelers have come together to become stronger and share this power with the world through their jewelry.
When Olga Oleksenko and Natalia Kietine initiated the project, Ukrainian origin was the only criterion for selecting jewelry.
The jewelry pieces were made in various unique and inimitable styles: some were designed in a contemporary style and had a complex architectural composition, and others were inspired by national culture.

According to Olga and Natalia, today it is extremely important to give Ukrainian designers a chance to voice up . The jewelry industry in Ukraine is still quite "young". Some of the designers who were presented at the exhibition have just begun their creative path, but already show great potential.

Yevheniia Filipenko, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Office at Geneva, visited the stand with jewels by Ukrainian designers.

Among the jewelry experts who visited the Strong & Precious stand and appreciated Ukrainian talents were renowned Vivienne Becker, Thomas Faerber, Ronny Totah, Marie-Cécile Cisamolo, Richa Goyal Sikri, Milena Lazazzera, and others.
