GemGenève

In May 2022, Strong & Precious made its debut at GemGenève, presenting 11 Ukrainian designers and opening a new international platform for Ukrainian jewellery art. Since then, GemGenève has become an important annual platform for Strong & Precious within the global jewellery industry. Each presentation has its own theme and curatorial narrative — from Ukraine’s cultural heritage and Trypillia to Ukrainian gemstones and the avant-garde of the 1920s–30s. In this way, each participation not only presents new designers, but also reveals Ukrainian jewellery art from a new perspective.

MAY

2026

The 2026 exhibition was dedicated to one of the most radical and innovative periods in the history of Ukrainian art — modernism and the avant-garde of the 1920s–1930s.

Contemporary Ukrainian jewellers reinterpreted its ideas through geometry, colour, materials, and space.

The exhibition featured Studio AGA.TE, Igor Pinigin, Anna Hlanskova, Lobortas Classic Jewellery House, Iryna Karpova, Hollo Jewellery, Arevik Jewellery, and Inesa Kovalova.

MAY

2025

The 2025 exhibition, Hidden Treasures, marked Strong & Precious Art Foundation’s sixth consecutive participation in GemGenève and focused on Ukrainian jewellers exploring themes of resilience, cultural identity, and artistic discovery. The exhibition featured works by Julie Kleom, Olena Yastreb, Olga Vynogradova, Oleksandra Kuzenkova, Inesa Kovalova, Arevik Jewellery, Iryna Karpova, Jewelry Lab, Anna Scheideman, Aga.te, and Anton Boyko. A special part of the project was a collaboration with the Ukrainian company Volyn Gems, which provided rare Volyn topazes and beryl for the designers, highlighting Ukraine’s natural wealth through contemporary jewellery art.

MAY

2024

The 2024 exhibition, Beyond Time, was dedicated to the Trypillia culture, one of the oldest cultures on the territory of modern Ukraine, which existed approximately between 5500 and 2750 BCE. The exhibition reinterpreted its heritage through contemporary Ukrainian jewellery art, drawing on the symbols, forms, and ornaments of the ancient culture. The participating designers were Komendat, Aga.te, Anton Boyko, GeO x Iryna Vasylenko, Drutis, Inesa Kovalova, Iryna Karpova, Nomis, and Oberig. The project also included a collaboration with Ukrainian designer and ceramic artist Victoria Yakusha and FAINA, whose ceramic works complemented the jewellery exhibition.
